Miss Avo Anderson, a 1937 history graduate of Tennessee Tech, spent 43 years educating students of all ages. Her teaching extended through eight years in elementary schools, nineteen years in Jackson County High School, two years in Algood High School, six years in Putnam County Central High School, and eight years at Tennessee Tech. As a result, Miss Anderson influenced several generations of students. Now, with all auction proceeds used to fund TTU endowed scholarships in her name, Miss Anderson's legacy will live on, and she will continue to touch the lives of generations of students to come
